Project Overview

In partnership with Stauden Peters and Colossus Plants Lda, Green Vacation Portugal is developing an ambitious reforestation and sustainable tourism project in Portugal. The project offers a unique carbon offset program for customers and suppliers, allowing participants to visit and actively experience the restored landscapes in person. The development is being carried out with full respect for the region's typical vegetation to ensure authentic ecological regeneration. The restored forest will serve as a public recreational space and places particular emphasis on environmental education for children in their original natural environment.

Beyond the local environmental impact, the additional carbon sequestration enables the generation of CO₂ certificates, integrating the project into existing sustainability concepts and laying the foundation for future collaboration with neighboring areas. Planned infrastructure includes a water reservoir to support project operations, local agriculture, and firefighting—a benefit of national and European importance. Rounding out the vision, eco-friendly tiny houses will be built for a CO₂-neutral vacation with full local offsetting, combining responsible tourism with measurable climate protection.
